What you may use this site for
LCM Calculator is provided as a free educational tool for learning, teaching, homework checking, and general number work. You may use it for personal study, in a classroom, or as part of your own work, and you may open the files locally or serve them from your own host.
Educational tool, not professional assurance
The results and explanations here are intended for study and general use. They are not professional, engineering, medical, legal, financial or safety-critical advice, and this site makes no promise that it is suitable for any high-stakes decision.
Where a calculation affects something important — a structural dimension, a dosage, a billing figure, a published result — treat this tool as one input among several and verify independently. The site's exactness applies to the arithmetic it performs; it cannot know whether the numbers you entered describe the real problem correctly.
Accuracy and the conventions applied
The arithmetic aims to be exact, and the methods used are described on the How it works page. Some results depend on conventions rather than on a single universal answer, and those conventions are stated openly:

| Rational inputs | The LCM of fractions uses a numerator/denominator convention, not the lowest common denominator. Use the separate LCD option for denominators. |
| Prime factorisation | Limited to inputs with absolute value of 1,000,000 or less; larger inputs use Euclid instead. |
| Listing multiples | The first 12 multiples are shown and the internal search is bounded; beyond the bound the method switches to Euclid. |
If your course, textbook or employer uses a different convention, that convention governs your work, not this site's. Nothing here should be presented as an official standard.
No warranty
The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. No one involved in producing these files promises that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, free of harmful components, or that any defect will be corrected.
This does not remove responsibility for honesty: the site states its methods, limits and conventions on the How it works, examples and about pages precisely so that you can judge whether a result is good enough for your purpose.
Limits of liability
To the extent permitted by the law that applies to you, no one involved in creating these files is liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or special loss arising from the use of, or inability to use, this site — including lost marks, lost work, lost time or lost profit. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid to use the site, which for this free build is nothing.
The person or organisation hosting these pages may add its own terms, and those terms apply to your use of their service.
Your responsibilities
- Check the inputs. A correct calculation on mistaken inputs is still a wrong answer for your purpose.
- Check the output on anything important. Recompute by hand with a method from the How it works page, or compare a second method in the tool.
- Be careful with shared links. A share link carries the numbers you entered in its URL, so treat it as public if you send it. See the privacy page.
- Respect your own obligations. If you use results in academic work, follow your institution's rules about showing your method.
Acceptable use
You may study, quote from and link to these pages, and you may reuse the general mathematical content, which is long-established and belongs to no one. Please do not:
- Present the site or its pages as your own product, or remove notices while claiming authorship of the built files.
- Copy content wholesale from the third-party sources listed on the about page; those works carry their own rights, and nothing here was copied from them.
- Use the site in a way that breaks the law, misrepresents results as official or certified, or implies an endorsement that does not exist.
- Attempt to overload, deface or misconfigure any host that serves these files.
Third-party links and advertisements
A third-party advertisement may appear above the footer. Advertising content and destination sites are controlled by their providers; display does not imply endorsement. Ad availability is not guaranteed. See the advertising disclosure for the associated network requests.
Some pages link to external references so that statements can be checked. Those sites are not controlled by this build, their content may change after the date noted here, and the site is not responsible for their accuracy, availability or practices. Following a link exposes the usual network information to that site, as described on the privacy page.
Availability and changes
This is a static build with no server component operated by the site itself. Availability depends entirely on where the files are hosted, and no uptime, performance or indexing outcome is promised. Search engines decide independently whether and when to index a page, and their guidance is referenced on the about page rather than interpreted here as a guarantee.
These terms describe the build as updated on 21 September 2026 and may be replaced or updated by whoever deploys it. If a term is unenforceable where you are, the remaining terms continue to apply.
